The wedding went off with glorious hitches! It was a gorgeous fall day, and things were set to go off at 4pm. We opted for a “first look”, which was a new idea to me, but one I very much liked. I just recently got an opportunity to go up to Glen Haven after the flooding and try to help out for a day. It was incredible to see the amount of damage done and it was awesome to see the community gathering to put things back together. My Aunt and Uncle were up there for most of the flood and are rebuilding … their house having weathered the storm.
We took a nice, relaxing trip to a cabin outside of Steamboat Springs over Labor Day weekend. Being as it was Labor Day, this is probably close to the last big motorcycle trip we’ll be taking this year.
On the weekend of July 27th and 28th, Liz, Aaron, and I rowed Dragon Boats. Aaron was on a team from his work, and Liz and I were on the OCA team that she participated in last year. She and I practiced exactly twice before the race, and in some senses, it definitely showed. We got to see some folks who practice every week, and even competed against them (we lost). Overall, though, we hit 4th out of 16 races in the qualifying event! Not bad!
